3M™ Littmann® Stethoscope Spare Parts Kit for the Classic II S.E. stethoscope contains a gray rim and tunable diaphragm for the adult side of the chestpiece and a gray non-chill rim for the bell side of the chestpiece. Also included are two small (1/2 inch), gray Snap Tight Soft-Sealing Eartips.
Tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—lets clinicians hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low frequency sounds; press a little more to hear higher frequency sounds. This time-saving feature allows the healthcare provider to focus on the patient, while the non-chill diaphragm provides patient comfort.
Snap-tight, soft-sealing eartips conform to individual ears for an excellent acoustic seal and comfortable fit. Eartips snap firmly onto the ends of the eartubes and, for safety, require a significant effort to remove.

I lost the diaphragm and fastener for my Littman stethoscope and was devastated. It was a bit tricky to get on at first but eventually I figured out how to get the ring on. The instructions are just pictures so that wasn’t as helpful because I really had to be patient to get the ring over the circumference of the bell. Eventually I got it on and it is perfect. The price was better than other websites but the shipping cost 20% of the item so it evened out in the end. They accept purchases through Amazon so. I didn’t feel worried about giving a company I wasn’t familiar with such sensitive information. I received the item fast, packaged well and working as expected. What more can one ask!
