    The 3M Littmann Lightweight II S.E. Stethoscope provides reliable acoustic performance for taking blood pressure readings and making limited physical assessments of adult patients. Weighing just 118 grams, it's the lightest of all Littmann adult stethoscopes, making it more comfortable for caregivers who wear their stethoscopes all day long.
    The Lightweight II S.E. stethoscope is an entry-level instrument that offers a surprising number of beyond-the-basics features such as a tunable diaphragm, dual-sided chestpiece, and adjustable headset.
    Tunable diaphragm technology -- a 3M invention -- lets clinicians hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low frequency sounds; press a little more to hear higher frequency sounds. This time-saving feature allows the healthcare provider to focus on the patient, while the non-chill diaphragm and rim provide patient comfort.
    Resilient tubing retains its shape and flexibility even after folding tightly into a pocket. Headset tension is easily adjusted for head size and comfort by squeezing together or pulling apart the eartubes. Snap-tight, soft-sealing eartips conform to individual ears for an excellent acoustic seal and comfortable fit. Eartips snap firmly onto the ends of the eartubes and, for safety, require a significant effort to remove.
    Next-generation tubing is not made with natural rubber latex, a benefit to sensitive medical professionals and their patients. And, to play its part in the protection of human health and the environment, the next-generation tubing does not contain phthalate plasticizers.
    The Lightweight II S.E. stethoscope is made in the USA for consistent quality. It comes complete with large soft-sealing eartips and instructions.

      Lightweight Stethoscope

      Pros: LOVE IT! Sometimes I actually forget that I'm wearing it-it's so lightweight!! Only con is that the diaphragm/bell is a little large for listening to skinny patients or small elderly patients.

      Pros: I purchased the Littmann Lightweight II S.E. for my daughter for her birthday. She is currently in LVN school. She is very happy with her new stethoscope. I didn't know that you could get it engraved...that would have been a nice touch. My order arrived in a timely fashion and my experience with stethoscope.com has been a positive one. Thank you.

      Very First Stethoscope

      Pros: As a nursing student, I knew nothing about stethscopes. I asked my nursing advisor and she told me that Littmann was the 'top of the line'. I ordered this Littmann and had it within a week. Fast service and great product. I used my Littmann stethscope to find a radial pulse and then, borrowed my friends 'other' brand. No thanks, I'll stay with my Littmann; I can find the radial pulse and heartbeat much easier with the Littmann. The diaphram and bell are super sensitive.Cons: For whatever reason, this stethscope did not give me the option to engrave. No problem...the next Littmann I buy will be engraved.

      Riding hard yet feeling smooth

      Pros: Being in EMS for over 30 yrs. I usually had a quality stethascope for E.R. proceedures. Recently taking a job on a local ambulance, it was quick to see that it is a lot harder to get a simple B.P. in a moving vehicle, let alone chest sounds. I am so pleased with my purchase and not only feel, but know, I am a better medic with the use of a Littman hanging around my neck. You don't know how inadequate a product can be until you use something superior. Thank you for having a superior product at a very reasonable price.

      Pros: I love this stethoscope. It is the best I have found, the quality of the sound is amazing. I did have to order it in the lilac so no-one would walk away with it.
